When Worth had left Conrad in his clinic with Hanna, he had made a beeline for the redhead's apartment. He found the place in a wreck that would put post-twister trailer parks to shame. Papers littered with runes and scribbling scrawl scattered the floor. The carpet had some serious scorch marks. The remains of a circle could still be seen through the burns, and Worth could even see the outline of the runes burned into the floor. That wasn't all though.
The layout of the scene was like this:

After Hanna had seen his arm...or the absence of it, Conrad had wasted no time in getting in touch with Lamont. He had kept the phone that Worth had given him; a battered plastic thing from Wal-Mart probably, and found Lamont's number in the contacts. Half a second later it was ringing.
On the third ring, Lamont answered.
"Lamont T-Toucey speaki-- Stoppit." There was a soft sound of a slap. "Lamont Toucey speaking."
"Um hey... It's Conrad. You know that one guy who called you greasy?" Conrad blinked, fidgeting. God this wasn't supposed t be awkward. There were sounds of footsteps through the phone and Lamont's voice got more focused.
